rural house in Éller

This property is located on the outskirts of the tiny village of Éller, at an altitude of 1447m. Éller has its own restaurant but for all other amenities are Bellver de Cerdanya (8km) and Puigcerdà (the regional capital, 26km).The approach to the village boasts some of the best views of the region of Cerdanya, dominated by the Cadí-Moixeró mountain range. At the entrance to the house there is a large, walled patio area, surrounded by barns, outhouses and stables and the house itself. At the rear of the house there is a barbecue area with direct access to the house and plenty of open grassland for the children to play. Municipal swimmingpool in Bellver de Cerdanya (8km). This property does not provide bed linen or bath towels.

Stone construction typical of the region with porch and slate roof. The house still conserves unique farming tools inside its many barns and outbuildings. The accommodation is situated on the first floor and on entering we find a large kitchen/ dining-room area with fireplace. The kitchen features stove, oven, fridge and a microwave. Around this large area are situated two bedrooms, one double and the other with three single beds, both of which have en-suite bathroom. On this floor there is a further toilet, where the washing room is located. Stairs lead up to the second floor where there is a large living room with TV, and two bedrooms one with a double bed and a single bed, the other with a double bed and two single beds. One of the bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom and there is a fourth bathroom on this floor. The two sofas in the living room can be converted to sofa beds to sleep an extra 4 people.

Èller forms part of the Cerdanya- Alt Urgell game reserve so it is not unusual to see a golden Eagle or white partridges among the surrounding hills on the way up to the village. There are many of the characteristic neighbouring villages which are worth visiting such as Talltendre, Arànser, Músser and Meranges, with its emblematic lakes of glacial origin. There are also a wide range of outdoor sports on offer in the area, Hiking, alpine skiing (La Massella, La Molina), cross country skiing (Arànser, Lles de Cerdanya). Also worth a visit is the French part of this region with its thermal baths, ski resorts, Le tren Jaune, a tourist train which makes its way through the different towns of the region and offers a good opportunity to enjoy the unique scenery of the Pyrenees.
