Situated within the town of Castell d'Aro, Baix Empordà and 500m from the city centre, its core has been declared Cultural Asset of National Interest together with the historical urbanisation of S'Agaró located between the beaches of Sant Pol and Sa Conca and its parapet walk. In the old centre of Castell d'Aro we have to highlight the Castle of Benedormiens giving rise to the population and where it currently holds exhibitions, the Museum of Nina (Wrist) with more than 300 dolls from all eras. Throughout the year various events take place (live nativity scene, fast painting contest, medieval market ,...) Together with water sports we can also enjoy sports such as horse riding in Santa Cristina d'Aro, or mountain bike in the Park of Gavarres or the Greenway that links the towns of S'Agaró, Girona and Olot. Sea and mountain come together in perfect harmony, this is also reflected in the cuisine of the area with dishes like “sepia and meatballs”, “chicken scampi”... Other points of interest are: Playa de Castell in Palamós, natural protected area, medieval villages like Pals, Peratallada, .. populations with long maritime tradition as Palamos, Calella, Sant Feliu de Guixols, ...
